Description
Guided kayak tour at sunset and aperitif by the sea in the Cinque Terre: from Monterosso to Vernazza, between cliffs and hidden caves.
Enjoy the magic of the sunset in the Cinque Terre National Park, one of the most fascinating areas of Italy, during a unique and suggestive kayak excursion. Starting from Monterosso al Mare, the route winds along the Ligurian coast towards Vernazza, one of the most picturesque towns of the Cinque Terre, famous for its colorful houses and crystal clear sea. But this experience has something even more special: the sunset that colors the sky and the water pink and orange, the calm of the sea and the possibility of discovering hidden corners that are inaccessible from land.
The Route
The tour begins in the afternoon, when the colors of the sky are reflected in the calm water and the air is cooler and more pleasant. After a short introduction to safety and paddling technique by the guide, we leave from Monterosso, with its splendid seafront and cliffs that rise sheer above the sea.
As you paddle, the landscape becomes more and more spectacular: sliding along the coast, you will have the opportunity to observe the majestic cliffs of the Cinque Terre, full of mysterious caves and inlets where the crystalline water seems to stand still in time. The sun slowly setting on the horizon creates an incredibly romantic atmosphere, with the colors changing from minute to minute, offering a natural spectacle that will leave you breathless.
Stop at the spring waterfall and a swim in the crystalline sea
Along the way, the guide will lead you to one of the most hidden gems of this excursion: a waterfall of spring water that slides directly onto the cliff, creating a little corner of paradise. Here, you will have the opportunity to take a dip in the refreshing turquoise waters, surrounded by a pristine landscape. The sound of the water crashing on the rock and the panorama that opens up before you are an experience that will remain in your heart.
Aperitif in a hidden cove
After swimming, in this cove accessible only by sea, an aperitif will be served while the sun sets, painting the sky with shades of gold and pink. This small, intimate and protected cove is the perfect place to enjoy a relaxing moment, sipping a glass of local natural wine and tasting local delicacies. The atmosphere, with the sea gently caressing the rocks and the advancing dusk, is simply magical.
Return to Monterosso
After the aperitif, we embark the kayak to return to the base in Monterosso. The soft light will allow you to admire the beauty of this enchanting seaside village from an unusual perspective.
Why participate?
This excursion is the perfect opportunity to experience the Cinque Terre from a completely new and fascinating perspective. Monterosso
Monterosso al Mare is the largest village of the Cinque Terre and also the first to be documented (1056).
Consisting of two districts, the old village and Fegina, the more touristy part, Monterosso al Mare also boasts important monuments. Amongst these the XIV century church of San Giovanni Battista (St. John the Baptist), in front of which rose the Medieval Palazzo del Podestà, of which some traces remain. Of great importance, on the colle dei Cappuccini, the Castello dei Fieschi and the monastry whose church is San Francesco.
Vernazza
Vernazza, considered by many to be the most charming of the Cinque Terre was documented for the first time in 1080. The remarkable economic and social level reached by the village in Medieval times and still today testified by the town conformation and by the presence of architectural elements of great importance, like lodges, churches, “casetorri” and arcades. The village is dominated by the remains of the “castrum” a series of Medieval forts dating back to the XI century, with a cylindrical castle and tower.
